STAMPB.EXE is a self-extracting file containing the compressed files required to use StampBase for DOS. STAMPB.EXE was created using the software program LHA (Copyright 1990-1991 by Haruyasu Yoshizaki). Individual users may copy this program and share it with friends. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: IBM PC or compatible with 640K RAM, a hard drive and DOS 3.1 or higher. Program supports mouse and keyboard. DETAILED DESCRIPTION StampBase for DOS is a stamp collection inventory system designed for the hobbyist. Your stamp collection information can be stored in one or more files with each file containing a limit of 128 megabytes. Information about each stamp can include: country, catalog number, category, issue year, description, grade, condition, purchase date, cost, market value and comments. StampBase provides intuitive data entry, edit and browse features. Stamp information can be added, changed or deleted. Use StampBase's powerful query feature to browse through the database. All information is sorted and indexed (except notes) to provide quick access. Stamp information can be displayed on screen or in printed reports. This is NOT free software. This is NOT public domain software. Stamp for DOS is a shareware software product. You are expected to pay a $24.95 registration fee plus shipping and handling to the author if you find it useful. Registered users receive the latest version of the program, a printed User's Guide, free technical support and notification of program updates and upgrades. SAMPLE.DAT Sample data. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION AND UNPACKING PROGRAM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copy StampBase files to your hard drive before attempting to run the program. The StampBase files are compressed into a self-extracting file called STAMPD.EXE. Use the following instructions to create a directory and copy the program files from the disk to the new directory on the hard drive. Ignore the quotations when entering instructions. 1. At the C> type "cd\" and press ENTER. The root directory will now be current directory. 2. Type "md stampd" and press ENTER to create a new directory called STAMPD. 3. Type "cd\stampd" and press ENTER. The STAMPD directory is now the current directory. 4. Insert StampBase disk into drive A or B. 5. Type "A:" or "B:" for the drive containing the StampBase disk. 6. At the A> or B> type "copy *.* c:" and press ENTER. STAMPD.EXE will now be copied to the STAMPD subdirectory on the hard drive. 7. Type "C:" and press ENTER. The prompt should be C:STAMPD>. 8. Type "stampd" and press ENTER.
